خلافت سہارا ہے ہم غمزدوں کا

اسے رکھ سلامت خدائے خلافت

(This Urdu poetic verse expresses the sentiments that Khilafat is a source of solace for the distressed, and may Allah, Who created it, keep it safe and well)

Khilafat is a system established by Allah the Almighty. Alhamdulillah, we are fortunate to be Ahmadi Muslims and Allah the Almighty has bestowed His blessings upon us.

Life is full of ups and downs and moments of joy and sorrow occur in one’s life. As the title of my piece suggests I would like to share a time of sadness and distress  in my life. With the grace of Allah, being an Ahmadi Muslim , whatever the situation in my life, I’m always hopeful . Firstly, it is my firm belief is as stated in the Holy Quran that,

“Allah burdens not any soul beyond its capacity.” (2:287)[1]

Secondly, it is the Khalifa of the time, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, may Allah be his Helper, my heart, my life, my strength and great source of support and comfort for me in every aspect of my life.

Though there are so many blessed moments throughout my life, here I am going to write about my son who started facing difficulty while reading the board in his classroom when he was in year 5. So, we booked an appointment with an optician. After his eye test, the optician prescribed glasses and referred him to the hospital. During the hospital appointment, the doctor did some scans and tests and then told me that my son had some serious eyesight problems, and he must live with it throughout his life. They gave us the option of eye surgery, but they were unsure whether it would be successful or not.

However, for a second opinion, the doctor referred him to another eye specialist. At that moment, I started praying to Allah the Almighty and while praying I firmly believed in Al-Mujeeb (Divine attribute meaning The One Who listens) the Almighty Allah that He will listen and respond to my prayers.

The next day, I went to Fazl Mosque for Zuhr Prayer. After Zuhr Prayer, I went to the PS office to request an urgent family mulaqat (meeting) with beloved Huzoor. All mulaqats were already booked so they couldn’t arrange any, but they took my contact details. At the same time, I strongly believed that Allah the Almighty would fulfil my desire to meet beloved Huzoor before a medical appointment for my son. At 4 pm I received a call from the office that there was a cancellation of a mulaqat, and therefore, they asked me if I could come to Fazl Mosque the next day at 5pm. I told them that I would definitely be there, Insha’Allah.

Miraculously, Allah the Almighty paved our way to meet beloved Huzoor. During the mulaqat, I told the whole situation to Huzoor, and requested prayers. While leaving the office, it was my firm belief that Allah the Almighty would grant all prayers of the blessed Man of God, our beloved Khalifa. The next day, we went for the appointment, with the eye specialist and they did more scans and told me that Danial’s eyes are perfectly fine. There was no need for any surgery. I broke down into tears and my heart filled with gratitude to witness the acceptance of prayers by Allah the Almighty. According to previous reports, this was undoubtedly a miracle.

I wrote a letter to Huzoor thanking him for his prayers which Allah the Almighty had granted.

This further strengthened my belief that Khilafat is actually the rope of Allah. May Allah enable us all to have a strong bond with Khilafat, Ameen.

 ‏اللهم اید امامنا بروح القدس

و بارک لنا فی عمرہ و امرہ

“O Allah strengthen our Imam with the Holy Spirit and bless us through his long life and command.” Ameen.
