100 Years of Grace of God

There are endless signs of God Almighty in the physical world, contemplation will always point towards the existence of a Supreme Power.

In the spiritual world, Prophets of God, their lives, character, decisions and their success, are a main sign of God Almighty. Someone who proclaims God speaks to him, either says this with the Power and Might of God behind him, or, at times, against him. There can be nothing in-between. Because if a false prophet withstands the test of time, then every Prophethood will be questionable. History has not seen a single person who falsely claimed to be a prophet and was not subsequently ruined. God Almighty never allows anyone to play around with this lofty station, because it is bestowed by Him alone. A person from the people of Pharoah presented a golden rule with regards to evaluating a claim of Prophethood, as stated in the Holy Qur’an:

“…And if he be a liar, on him will be the sin of his lie; but if he is truthful, then some of that which he threatens you with will surely befall you.” [1]

The Qur’an also states:
“…Falsehood does indeed vanish away fast.” [2]

And for a Prophet whom God Almighty sends, the rule is:
“Allah has decreed: ‘Most surely I will prevail, I and My Messengers.’ Verily, Allah is Powerful, Mighty.” [3]

His Holiness Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed to be a divinely appointed Prophet, sent to revive Islam. People witnessed and testified his love for Islam and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) before he made his claim, but many turned into staunch enemies afterwards. Nonetheless, his community has not only stood the test of time but also continues to prosper the world over. [4]

Where else in the Muslim world is there an organised, world-wide, set-up of volunteers, to practice, preach and learn the teachings of Islam like the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community? A set-up which caters to every section of community be it women, men, or children. Providing a platform to contribute towards the greater good of humanity.

Was it in his capacity as a mortal being from Qadian, in rural India, more than a hundred years ago that His Holiness Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be on him) ensured that his community stayed together after he had left this world? No, it was indeed the Power and Might of God Almighty behind him that has made it so.

Has anyone ever made such a tall claim that no worldly power can undo my cause? It is only the Power and Might of God Mighty that the Promised Messiah (peace be on him) witnessed and trusted.

We, the women of the community he left behind, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, i.e. Lajna Ima’illah is also a sign of this Power and Might.

All of us, at one time or the other, experience God’s help when we volunteer for any task, regular responsibility or just attend an event. Our time, effort and energies become blessed. We just think about doing something for the cause and God’s help and Grace takes over and helps us through.

To be fair, not all of us are as active Lajna members as we should be, we are far from perfect, but the work goes on and on. Serving the community, building hospitals, planting trees, taking up the pen to defend Islam, and so on.  What keeps us together, united as one all across the world? What force keeps us motivated to sacrifice our time to serve this cause? How are our hearts bound together? Indeed, it is the Grace of God Almighty, we are only lucky enough to be at the receiving end.

Surely, as we mark our Lajna Centenary, we owe these hundred years to the grace of God Almighty, His promises with the Promised Messiah (peace be on him), and the cause of Islam. Our responsibilities have doubled, because we claim to have accepted the Messiah, our actions must manifest our faith.

God Almighty protects and enforces the cause of His Prophets with His Power and Might. His Power and Might is entrenched in the hearts of His Prophets, for that very reason they take on worldly powers and opposition unlike any other human being would. When we reject a Prophet of God, what do we, unknowingly stand against? God’s Power and Might!

None can really stand against God’s Power and Might.
