Justice or sense of fairness is one of the values which we have an affinity towards from early infancy, even before we start using words to express our feelings, the lack of which even children can sense from a slight change in demeanour or a subtle action.

Growing up, children tend to build, or even intrinsically have, a sense of justice from the very beginning and as tender as their souls are, oblige to anything their parents say or believe but when injustice is perceived, they cry and wail, expressing their  displeasure towards it as if a storm is raised from within. The fact that fairness or justice are qualities which we intrinsically incline towards, shows how important they are to our natural ecosystem of moral values, hence the pressing need for the smooth running of many, if not all relationships, whether they may be in a nucleus of our home or those between powerful countries in the world.

The widespread injustice in our world today has become a matter of great concern at unitary level as well as posing a threat to peace at a global level. In perilous times, when the world has been torn between political ambitions and moral code of conduct, a voice which stands out, calling out for the need for justice and peace is that of Khilafat.

From time to time, country to country, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad  (may Allah be his Helper), the fifth Khalifa or Caliph of the Promised Messiah, worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, has taken the message of justice and peace to the corners of the world, by all means at hand: through letters to world leader, by speaking about the ways in which peace can be established at esteemed platforms during his visits to countries around the globe, and most importantly, by guiding us Ahmadi Muslims, the member of the Community, on how we can take adopt tangible means by which we can establish peace. Huzoor  throughout the past nearly two decades  has shed light on the ways in which peace can be established at every level, by every single member of the society. Huzoor has, in particular, emphasised on the need for absolute justice in our struggle for establishing true peace, a building block which has been elaborated on in the Holy Quran at numerous occasions.

Khilafat is that rope of Allah which guides us towards our end goal, the purpose of our lives – the worship of God and service to His creation – through the means which God Almighty has Himself shown us in His word – the Holy Quran.
