*Huzoor is the term Ahmadi Muslims use to refer to His Holiness, the fifth Caliph/Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community*

No number of words can grasp the depth of love and gratitude that we are fortunate enough to feel towards our Khalifa of the time. However, the most fruitful aspect of this relationship is that the love we give and feel towards him is exponentially reciprocated from his blessed being, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah be his Helper).
Widely known as Huzoor, His Holiness has mentioned that there is not one country of the world he that doesn’t visit in his prayers. These words are incomprehensible to a normal person. The fact that he feels for the entire world’s population, with such ease, should be enough to fill an Ahmadi’s heart with such emotion and loyalty to Huzoor. I don’t think we will ever be able to understand the magnitude of what and how Huzoor feels for us.
Though what an Ahmadi feels when they meet Huzoor, is quite ineffable itself. Almost impossible to overcome the admiration and affection when we are fortunate enough to lay our eyes upon him, and the line between reality and dream becomes quite faint and words fumble out of one’s mouth as if one has never conversed with another human being before. Though that is the thing; he isn’t just another human being, rather a human beings direct link to their Creator, Allah; he is the closest to His Exalted Being. Truly fortunate are we, Ahmadis, to recognise the Khalifa of the time.
No matter the status in society or any personal relationships, loyalty to the Khalifa of the time, is a sign of every true Muslim’s trust in Allah and His plans.
This loyalty to Khilafat isn’t a phenomenon of this age, rather this faithfulness started right after the demise of our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings of Allah be on him), during the Khulafa-e-Rashideen, (the Rightly Guided Successors) and the utmost loyalty to the Khalifa of the time was shown by Muslims.
I remember hearing that once the current Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Community, our beloved Huzoor, was elected as the fifth Caliph of our Community and then met his mother, Sahibzadi Nasira Begum for the first time, she immediately stood up for him out of respect that he now was her Khalifa first, and then her son. So beautifully demonstrating the status of Khilafat, which all believers feel equally.
I feel for those who have not yet recognised the Khalifa of the time, as I truly cannot imagine my life without Huzoor; his guidance; his kindness, and his ever so unique sense of humour, which is enough to erase all worries of the world. Khilafat is that gift and anchor, from Allah, for every hardship and ease. May Allah, The Gracious, always enable us to be completely loyal and obedient to our beloved Huzoor.
