The promise of the establishment of Khilafat in Islam is very distinctive and indisputable. Indeed, there is absolutely nothing as pure and sincere as the love that exists between Ahmadi Muslims and the Khalifa (Caliph). It is a type of love that transcends political and ethnic boundaries, and, in many respects, it is a love no less than a miracle of God. Khalifa is a true man sent from God and Allah always fulfils the word of His Khalifa.

In 2010, as a little girl I attended the Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Cordoba, Spain with my family. It was the same year when the Khalifa, current worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community His Holiness Mirza Masoor Ahmad (may Allah be his Helper) was also gracing the Convention. My family was fortunate enough to be granted a mulaqat (meeting) with His Holiness. When it was time to have  a family photograph taken with Holiness  I was blessed enough to stand next to him. His Holiness affectionately put a hand on my little shoulder. He gave me a chocolate and a pen. The love and connection I felt as a child will stay etched in my heart forever.

Humans are weak and cannot fulfil their responsibilities without the help of God. His Holiness is constantly reminding us that true success and fulfilment can only be achieved through following the commandments of Allah the Exalted. Each Ahmadi Muslim should make effort to seek Allah’s protection by doing Istighfar (seeking forgiveness of Allah) all the time, because Istighfar is the only way to come under the protection of Allah.

After all these years, it is only through His Holiness’ constant guidance that I have gained confidence to live my life as an Ahmadi Muslim woman.

In today’s world, women are under a lot of societal pressure to behave or think a certain way. His Holiness has always reminded us that we should seek Allah’s protection and we should look towards His teachings only, in order to live our lives accordingly to teachings of the Holy Quran.

Listening to the Friday sermons and  speeches of His Holiness, sending him letters has helped me overcome my insecurities and helped me build a relationship with my spiritual father. The blessings of Khilafat are innumerable and it is a special mercy and grace of Allah that imprints the love and truthfulness of Khilafat in the heart of its followers and it is only through blessings of Khilafat that we can  hold on to Allah and overcome any challenges that life throws at us.  

His Holiness has delivered numerous keynote addresses on the true teachings of Islam. How the teachings of Islam have safeguarded the rights and freedoms of all people and by acting upon, the lasting peace in society can be achieved.

In today’s world His Holiness’ divine guidance and support represents the highest level of connection with the Almighty. Indeed, Khilafat is a true blessing.

And I pray that the Master of all the worlds and Hereafter makes me a better believer and makes us better servants of the Ahmadiyya Khilafat and that He showers His choicest blessings on us till the end of times. Ameen.
